The Boys Rookie Division is for boys in 2nd grade. This is a non-competitive Division. The goal is to build upon the skills that the players have learned in the T-Ball and Clinic Divisions and to prepare the boys for the transition to the competitive Boys A Division. The rules are modified to make the game easier and to provide a better learning experience. The focus of this Division is teaching the fundamentals. Each team is expected to practice at least once each week in addition to any games which are played.

Players are expected to be given a chance to play all positions during the season.

During the 1st half of the season, the coaches will do the pitching. During the 2nd half, the players will pitch. This will be the first time that players will be hitting against other players and will be the transition into the competetive Boys A Division.

No wins or losses will be recorded and no standings kept. All players will receive participation trophies.
