Plainview Little League – Challenger Baseball

A Special Time

Challenger Baseball is an important part of the Plainview Little League. Challenger provides a baseball environment for children with Special Needs. The children are assisted by coaches and “buddies.” The buddies are typically children from baseball or softball leagues. The adults pitch to the children and anything goes regarding running the bases and fielding the balls that are hit. It is a non-competitive league – no score is kept and everyone bats and plays the field in this two or three-inning game.

• Open to Plainview and Non-Plainview residents
• No cost to join the league
• Ages from 5 to 21
• Games are played on Sunday mornings at 9am in Plainview.
• There is no commitment required, players come when they can.
• Everyone has a good time!

Challenger Baseball is a very successful program that has been around for many years. We play in one major tournament every season with other Challenger Programs on Long Island. We invite participation in this worthwhile program.
