That's 3 in a Row for the 8U Hawks

The 8U Hawks traveled to play Central Nassau and won their third game in a row, 8-5.

All the boys played an important part in the win, whether it was on defense or at the bat.

Mike B scored twice and Mike R hit a bases clearing double in the top of the 5th inning to give the Hawks the lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

Peter C, Harrison K, Nicholas S and Joe S each scored in the 5th inning as well.

Zack H and Luke B held Central Nassau to no runs in three innings.

The defense was outstanding as well.

In the bottom of the third inning, Central Nassau was leading 5-3, with runners on first and second. A single was hit to right field, Tyler B played the hit and threw to Mike B, the cut-off boy, who threw home to Kyle U, playing catcher,who placed the tag on the runner trying to score from second base to end Central Nassau’s rally.

All the fundamentals the boys are learning in practice are starting to pay off.

The win brings the 8U Hawks over .500 for the first time this season at 4-3.
