To qualifiy for the NY Section #6 Pool Round, the Hawks defeated teams from Shoreham and Merillion in the process of going 2-1. This set up a key match-up in the Sectional Semi-Finals against Commack South at the Islip LL Complex in mid-90's weather.

The Hawks jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by a Nick F. bunt single followed by a Zach S. double to bring in Nick F. Scattered opportunities were not converted until the 4th after giving Commack its only 3 runs in the second. Nick R. drew a walk followed by a Dylan M. sacrifice bunt and a gutsy steal of third by Nick R. later brought home by a Matt B. single.

Pitching was superb with Sam H. going the distance in the loss.

This caps a fine run by the Hawks who went 7-3 in Williamsport play to earn the District 32 crown and to be one of 4 teams left standing in Long Island sectional play.

We are really proud of all 12 of these boys who have endured a grueling schedule to succeed as well as they have.
