The 8U Hawks had another away game, this time against the North Merrick North Bellmore Rebels.

All the boys played well, but the Rebels scored all their runs in the 2^nd inning, on their way to a 5-1 victory.

On the upside, Tyler B, Luke B and Zack H held the Rebels to no runs in 4 of the 5 innings they pitched. Striking out seven and assisting on four put outs.

The defense behind the pitchers played near flawless defense. Cut-offs were hit and put outs were made.

The offense had a hard time getting on base. Mike B was able to get on twice, Joe S had a single and Mike R had the only RBI, as Nick S scored.

Unfortunately, the loss brings the Hawks’ record back to .500, 4-4.

Hopefully we can bounce back, when we play home on Tuesday night.
