The 8U Hawks hosted Syosset on Monday night to start their final week of the season.

The boys put their most runs on the board this season, on their way to a 17-4 victory. Including scoring 15 runs in the last three innings.

Pitching and defense played well.

 Tyler B, Luke B and Jason L held Syosset to 4 runs over six innings and struck out 10.

DEFENSE!!!

In the 3^rd inning, Syosset had a runner on first base with one out. A grounder was hit to second base…Mike B picked it clean and threw to Will P covering second base for the force out…the throw was slightly out of Will’s reach and went into left-center field…Joe S was backing up the throw, picked up the ball and fired a strike to Zack H covering third base, who placed the tag on the runner going from first to third.

Once again, every Hawk played a part in the scoring…

Mike B scored twice and drove in a run. Zack H scored a run and drove in three. William P scored twice and drove in a run. Mike R scored twice and drove in two. Danny D scored a run and drove in a run. Luke B scored once and drove in one. Kyle U drove in 2 runs. Jason L scored 2 runs and drove in a run. Harrison K scored a run. Nick S scored once and drove in a run. Joe S drove in two and scored a run. Tyler B scored twice and drove in a run. Pete C scored once and had a run batting in.

The win gets the Hawks over .500 at 7-6.
