The 8U Hawks visited Hicksville on Monday night to end their two game losing streak.

The boys scored in every inning of the four inning game, in route to the 16-4 victory.

The offense exploded early with 4 runs in the first inning, including a bases clearing triple by Papi. In the third inning, the Big Dawg drove in a pair with a double. Stretch did the same in the fourth. All three boys ended up driving in 3 runs each.

The defense didn’t get too much action, because of the 12 outs Hicksville made, the Big Dawg and Luke B struck out all twelve. YIKES!

The boys were very aggressive at the plate this game. Only striking out twice. Hitting strikes and taking balls. That’s what I’m typing about.

Sparky scored a run and drove in a run. Zack H scored a run. William P scored twice and drove in a run. Big Dawg scored twice. Luke B scored twice and drove in a run. Papi scored twice. The K-Man scored a run and drove in a run. Stretch scored a run. King scored a run and drove in a run. Nick S scored a run and drove in a run. Pete C scored a run. Harrison K scored a run and drove in a run…How’s the shoulder?

And all the while T-Bird, recovering from some injuries, was in the dugout rooting on his team.

That’s a team, fellas!

The win gets the Hawks back to .500 at 6-6.

The boys are scheduled to go to Syosset on Thursday night.
