The Hawks tonight, while missing two key bats from the lineup used every available resource in beating Ozone Park / Howard Beach in the South Shore Tournament Semi-Finals tonight.

The game won in dramatic fashion by a RBI single by Alex W. that gave the Hawks the go-ahead run in the Top 7th, with a steal of home by Nick F. adding another.

Last weekend the 10U Blue boys and their families made the trek to the Delaware Shores to the Sports at the Beach complex just outside of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

The weekend included family dinners, trips to the beach and the boardwalk, a hotel pool party, and even a visit to a local creamery for fresh ice cream.

To qualifiy for the NY Section #6 Pool Round, the Hawks defeated teams from Shoreham and Merillion in the process of going 2-1. This set up a key match-up in the Sectional Semi-Finals against Commack South at the Islip LL Complex in mid-90's weather.

Tonight the 10U Blue Hawks behind neary 5 innings of stellar 2-hit, 8 K's pitching from Jason B, rallied out to take a 9-4 victory against District 36 Champs Shoreham / Wading River.

The District 32 Champs got 3 hits from Matt B. including a double and a triple to lead the charge, and 5 stolen bases from Zach S. to lead the running game. Nick N. lead the team defensively with 6 putouts at shortshop.

Next up for the Hawks is the resumtion of the suspended game against Massapequa Coast on Friday, then a pivotal game against Merillon on Saturday.

On a rain filled night, with the District Championship game moved to the opponents home field to take advantage of better field conditions, the 10U Blue Hawks showed character and grit to come back from an early 4-0 hole against Hicksville in the District 32 Championship. 

Fresh from a 1-hit complete game, shutout gem from Sam H. the Hawks are one step closer to the goal of capturing the District 32 Williamsport Tournament crown. The Hawks bat were alive lead by a 4 RBI day by Jason B. which inclided a 2 run double in the 4th to cap a 4 run rally. Matt B. added three RBI's to the cause.

The path to the district championship started with a victory against Central Nassau, then a 7-5 win against Finals opponent Hicksville, followed by a 12-4 loss against East Meadow. The Hawks then rebounded with convining wins against Levittown and Bethpage.

The 10U Blue Boys have started off the District 32 WIlliamsport Tournament with successive victories against Central Nassau and Hicksville.

In the Central Nassau victory, the Hawks bat came alive in a 12-4 victory with steller pitching by Matt B. and Sam H.

Against rival Hicksville, the Hawks grinded out a 7-5 victory again behind the pitching of Jason B. and Sam H.

The Hawks are up next against East Meadow (2-0) this Wednesday July 7th at Merry Lane, Jericho. The game starts at 5:30pm.

After a great weekend of baseball the 10U Boys Hawks have advanced as the 3rd seed into the East Meadow Tournament semi-finals. Opening victories against Manhasset and NBNM put the Hawks in a great position. On Friday a 4-1 loss to a very competitive HBQVB helped to set up the semi-final rematch. Saturday's victory against Long Beach sealed the deal. On Sunday a time-shortened affair ended tied 4-4 after 6 innings with all the momentum swung to Plainview's way.

Plainview Blue finished the Qualifying Round of the Tournament 3-1-1.

The 10U Blue Hawks managed by Ricky Mango defeated Manhasset 11-7 to begin the East Meadow Tournament that serves as a prep for the Wiliamsport Tourney that begins on July 1st.

Led by two scoreless innings by pitchers Sam H. and Dylan M. the Hawks jumped out to quick lead in the first with the first 6 players each reaching on singles scoring 3 runs. The Hawks also batted around in the 3rd lead by doubles by Nicholas F. Ryan S, and Stephen P. leading to 6 runs.
